Petersen & Petersen continues to meet with new clients relative to harms and losses suffered in the devastating freezer malfunction at University Hospitals Ahuja Fertility Clinic’s debacle that happened in March of 2018. Last year, Attorney Susan Petersen served in a leadership role relative to litigation against UH and was present at the hearing when Judge Ashely Kilbane approved a joint proposal to extend the window for filing these lawsuits to March 4, 2020. This extended 2-year status of limitations allowed the patients additional time to decide how they want to proceed to resolve their losses with UH via an out-of-court settlement or lawsuit. This extended deadline is quickly approaching.
If you or a loved one has been undecided but directly impacted by the University Hospitals embryo cryopreservation failure, the female-led trial team at Petersen & Petersen is ready to help you. As a fierce protector of women’s rights and advocates for justice, we have the experience and resources to hold UH accountable. To learn more, contact us at 440-279-4480.
The freezer malfunction at UH’s Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood left 4,000 frozen eggs and embryos nonviable. Petersen & Petersen is fighting to hold UH accountable for its failure to safeguard these precious gifts, failure to fix the malfunctioning storage tank, the unsafe decision to service the tank contrary to the tank manufacturer’s design, and the reckless choice to turn off of the remote monitoring/alarm system.
