CHARDON, OH, February 2, 2018: Earlier this week, Petersen & Petersen opened the doors of its brand-new office building at 10680 Mayfield Road in beautiful Geauga County. The nearly 7000-square foot structure sits in the Fowlers Mill Historic District of Munson Township, overlooking scenic Alpine Valley Ski Resort. Designed with an urban feel in a rural atmosphere, the new office manages to reflect Petersen & Petersen’s small-town service and its big city experience. Inside and out, visitors can’t miss the red accents – intentionally placed to represent the firm’s energy and passion.

In 2017, the Petersen partners decided to grow the business, given an increased demand for its services and the addition of Jerry Petersen to its line-up. With the old office having reached maximum capacity, the partners began a property search that ultimately led to the former Fowlers Mill Inn and Tavern. The once thriving restaurant had gone out of business nearly a decade before and the building sat empty. After estimates showed renovation was cost-prohibitive, the decision was made to demolish the building and start fresh. Demolition began in late May 2017, and with Payne & Payne Builders at the helm, construction began. Just eight months later, the hammering stopped, the signage went up, the lights went on and Petersen & Petersen opened its doors.

“We are thrilled to be in. We wanted to provide a first-class facility for our staff and our clients. The fact we can do that while turning around a property so central to Munson Township makes it even better,” said Todd Petersen. “This is an exciting new chapter for our law firm. This new building – all it represents and all it allows us to do – will help shape the firm and our future for decades to come. We are extremely proud, and extremely thankful to everyone who helped us get here,” added Susan Petersen.
