December 2013 – Petersen & Petersen founder, Todd Petersen, was sworn in for service as President of the Geauga County Bar Association. Todd previously served as President of the Geauga Bar Foundation and as a member of various bar committees. As part of his leadership role, he led the effort to celebrate Law Day, which was first declared by President Eisenhower in 1958 as “a special day of celebration by the people of the United States … in appreciation of their liberties and the reaffirmation of their loyalty to the United States and of their rededication to the ideals of equality and justice under law in their relations with each other and with other countries.” Law Day programs are designed to help people understand how the law keeps us free and how our legal system strives to achieve justice.
